Join us and make a difference! Economic prosperity is just one
measurement of the success of a region. In Northern Alberta we
believe that the emotional and social well-being of our residents is
of equal importance. Our region is committed to supporting a variety
of human services to support the emotional and social well-being of
our residents.
The Regional Child & Family Services Authorities (CFSAs) offer
a grassroots process of social development unique in the history
of Alberta.

The northern CFSAs oversee a range of services,
including child welfare, day care, family violence prevention, services
for children with disabilities, early intervention programs, and court
services. Mental Health services, offered through the health
regions, complement those of our CFSAs with counselling and support
programs throughout our region.
Specialty services provided by the Alberta Alcohol & Drug Abuse Commission,
Persons With Developmental Disabilities, and Seniors Advisory Councils
augment the options available to residents

Working hand-in-hand with our public services are numerous
non-profit and private agencies that offer individual and community
services. And not to be forgotten are psychologists who operate on a
fee-for-service basis. They collaborate to ensure that the people who
call Northern Alberta home have access to the social supports and
programs they need.
If you are a caring person, we want you to become
part of the support network in our region!
