Northern Alberta’s health care providers enjoy a wide variety of professional experiences. Health services are delivered by Alberta Health Services through a community-based care model that includes regional and local hospitals and a variety of clinics.

Career opportunities include diagnostic, acute care and prevention programs. Auxiliary services such as dietetics, speech, physical and occupational therapy are also available across the region. Private health practitioners such as dentists, chiropractors, optometrists and psychologists add to the spectrum of services offered to our residents.  

High demand jobs include family physicians, health promotion professionals, lab technologists, dental assistants, epidemiologists and clinical psychologists.
