Hospitality
Northern Alberta hosts 1.5 million visitors each year. Tourists are attracted to our region’s natural features, history and culture, adventure tours, and big game hunting, and they generate over $250 million annually for our local economy.

With over 400 hotels/motels and campgrounds, over 100 museums, attractions, and interpretive centres, and a multitude of food and beverage establishments, Northern Alberta's hospitality industry is always on the lookout for enthusiastic, customer-oriented employees and entrepreneurs.

Tourism activities range from canoe trips to trail riding and hiking in the summer, and dogsledding, snowmobiling, and northern lights tours in the winter. Other exciting opportunities include adventure lodges, Aboriginal cultural experiences, nature tours, and lakefront cabin and campground resort development.

High demand jobs include chefs, accommodation and food service managers, outdoor education specialists, wildlife outfitting guides and personal fitness trainers.
